Ed Fortier has spent the last 25 years transforming clients' perspectives on money and guiding them toward Biblical financial stewardship. His journey into the financial planning industry began with inspiration from his mother, who actively managed their family’s finances and instilled in Ed an early fascination with the world of money management. That passion deepened as coworkers sought his advice on their financial decisions. Following his father’s passing, Ed connected with his parents’ financial advisor, who encouraged him to enter the industry.
A proud Atlanta native, Ed attended Georgia Tech on a football scholarship, graduating in four years while earning a spot on the Dean’s List and the All-ACC Academic team. Today, he resides in Acworth, Georgia, with his wife, Sheila, and cherishes time spent with their married children and grandson.
Ed’s deep commitment to understanding his clients’ needs is what makes him stand out as an advisor. Inspired by the principles in the book Unreasonable Hospitality, Ed is dedicated to providing an unparalleled level of service. Ed’s favorite moments, however, come when clients trust him enough to seek his counsel on matters beyond finances.
For Ed, financial planning is not just about finances and possessions —it’s about reshaping his clients’ relationship with money, shifting their perspective from ownership to stewardship. His faith is intricately woven throughout both his work and personal life. “I find joy in recognizing God’s sovereignty in every moment,” he shares. Outside the office, Ed enjoys exercising, reading, and living out Matthew 6:33: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.”
Through his work, Ed aims to leave a legacy as a man who loved the Lord wholeheartedly, was a devoted husband and father, a fun and generous granddad, and a loyal friend.
