Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about our process, services, and values.
What does a faith-based financial advisor do?
A faith-based financial advisor walks alongside clients to create a holistic financial plan that reflects their family’s unique situation and values, while aligning decisions with Biblical principles. At Strategic Stewardship, we integrate Christian values into financial planning, retirement strategies, and investment management, while still focusing on strong financial outcomes.
What makes Strategic Stewardship different from other financial advisors?
We combine Certified Kingdom Advisor® values-based expertise with CFP® to provide the full scope of financial planning and investment management. Based in Woodstock, GA, we serve families, business owners and executives who want both faith-driven and traditional strategies for retirement, risk management, business planning, tax planning, and wealth management.
What services do you provide?
We offer comprehensive financial planning, retirement income strategies, asset management, business planning, risk management, tax planning, estate planning coordination, and charitable giving strategies.
What is Faith-Based Investing, or what we refer to as Positive Impact Investing (PII)?
PII investing focuses on avoiding profiting from harmful activities (gambling, tobacco, abortion to name a few), embracing companies that are promoting human flourishing, and engaging with companies for positive change. It allows you to invest in alignment with your values while still pursuing competitive financial returns.
Do you also offer traditional investing?
Yes, we also provide traditional investment strategies for those who prefer them. Our portfolios include exchange traded funds (ETFs) and mutual funds, designed to match each client’s goals and risk tolerance.
Do you create retirement income plans?
Yes. Retirement planning is one of our specialties. We help clients develop income strategies designed to provide steady, reliable cash flow throughout retirement. This includes Social Security optimization, pension and annuity analysis, charitable giving, tax-efficient withdrawals, and investment strategies to support lifetime income.
How much do I need to retire comfortably?
The answer depends on your lifestyle, spending needs, and income sources. We use financial planning software to model different retirement scenarios and help you understand how much you need to save, when you can retire, and how to draw income tax-efficiently.
What is included in your financial planning process?
Our financial planning process begins with understanding your goals, values, and current financial picture. We then create a customized plan covering investments, retirement, taxes, insurance, and estate planning. The goal is to give you confidence and clarity in your financial future. This process usually involves 4-5 meetings. From there, we assist you in managing and adjusting your plan throughout your life transitions.
Do you coordinate with CPAs and estate attorneys?
Yes. We actively collaborate with CPAs, estate attorneys, and other professionals to ensure your financial plan works smoothly across tax, legal, and investment strategies.
Do you help with charitable giving strategies?
Yes. At Strategic Stewardship, it is our heart to encourage clients in their journey of generosity with the Lord. We help families design charitable giving strategies that maximize both impact and tax efficiency. This can include donor-advised funds, gifting appreciated assets, tax-efficient gifting strategies, qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) and legacy planning, all while keeping generosity at the center of the financial plan.
Who do you typically serve?
One of our specialties is working with Christian executives, families, business owners and retirees who want professional financial guidance aligned with their faith. We work with all families who want experienced, trustworthy advisors to help with traditional investing, retirement planning, and wealth management.
Do you work with clients outside Georgia?
Yes. While we are based in Woodstock, GA, we serve clients across the U.S. through virtual meetings and secure digital platforms.
How often do you meet with clients?
We typically meet with clients 2 times per year, depending on their needs. We also provide ongoing communication, performance updates, and financial check-ins to keep you informed.
How are you compensated?
We are a fee-based advisory firm. That means our compensation comes primarily from transparent advisory fees. This helps us act as fiduciaries who always put our clients’ interests first. We do offer insurance products to fit clients’ needs. We may be paid a commission when clients purchase them through us and this is always clearly disclosed.
What are your qualifications?
We have a combined 77 years of experience and serve over 300 clients. All our lead advisors have earned the CFP ® and individually have achieved additional designations such as CKA ® and CPFA ®.
